About

SoCal – Internet Entrepreneur

I’m the former Senior Vice President of Engineering at MySpace. I joined MySpace in early 2005 prior to the News Corporation acquisition.  While I was there I built the team from 12 to over 240 located in Atlanta, Beijing, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Tokyo, and the United Kingdom.

I’m also the former Chairman of the Board for the OpenSocial Foundation.  While at MySpace, My team and I worked closely with many OpenSocial partners such as Google, Yahoo, AOL, Mixi, Hi5, and over 23 others.

I moved to Southern California in 1997 from Manassas, Virginia (Northern Virginia outside the Washington, D.C. area).  Since then, I have steadily grown up in the Southern California “Dot Com” ebbs and flows. I’ve spent time at Shopping.com, AltaVista, BlueTorch, Experian, and MySpace.

While based in Los Angeles for business and pleasure, I split my time between Southern California and the Bay Area.

I left MySpace in July of 2009 so I could pursue my dream of being an Entrepreneur.  I continue to do public speaking on topics such as; ‘Disruptive Prototyping’, ‘Rehumanizing the Workplace’, ‘Triple-Point: Not Your Grandfathers RDBMS’, and my practical work experiences with High Scalability & Performance Management.
